cover provided by @unusualsuspex Hello everyone, the season of Star Wars is upon us! Just a heads up, that there is about 1 month remaining until the contest concludes on 4 May 2024! If there are any questions about the contest, feel free to read the rules or ask here. The contest folder is open and awaiting your submissions, may the Force be with you.

So as some of you may have seen, Eclipse has announced that groups will be making the transition to the new interface. We do not foresee any issues with how the group will be run after the transition at the end of the month and nor should it interfere with the running of our May the 4th contest. Now that is out of the way, there is a question about the contests going forward. This will not affect the May the 4th contest, so don't worry about that. It has been mentioned that the contest period might be too long at the moment. Currently a period of roughly 2 months is given for each contest to allow plenty of time for participants to either write their stories or illustrate their art. Is this too much time? Would you prefer a shorter contest period? If so, what time-frame would you prefer? Please give your thoughts below, whether you think the current format is fine, or if you want to see a change to the run-time of the contest and if so, what that change should be. Thank you

It is time once again for our inner Star Wars to come out and be on full display as May the 4th approaches. As always, this contest is free-form and you may pursue whatever tickles your fancy so long as it is Star Wars related. Prizes will be: 1st Place -- $20 and 400 points 2nd Place -- 800 points 3rd Place -- 400 points You may submit one literary and one artistic piece to the contest, however you will only win one prize. So if you win 1st place in art but 2nd place in literature, you will receive the higher prize and your lower prize will go to the runner-up.
